What is a Tea Cup?

Let's start with, there is NO such thing
as a Tea Cup, Micro Mini or Imperial
anything. There are no breed
classifications for these terms.  Some
breeders will use these terms to hike up
the prices of their puppies.

All Breeders may occasionally have an
unusually small puppy, most of the time
it will not be a perfectly healthy puppy.
You can run into a lot of health
problems such as a heart defect, bad
joints, liver shunts, and many more
costing you a multitude of vet visits and
thousands of dollars.  Small dogs are
more likely to have poor reactions to
anesthesia and die from it.  Tiny dogs
are more easily injured by falls, being
stepped on and being attacked by other
dogs.

All breeds have standards that should
be followed by any reputable breeder.
The goal of a good breeder is to
continue a good blood line or to perfect
it even more. And to produce healthy,
quality babies.

Please do your research before
adopting or purchasing your new
forever friend. Please take this into
consideration and make purchasing a
healthy pet your top priority, not size.
The "novelty" is certainly not worth the
pain, heartbreak, or extra expense.
