Beloved Pet Services
By Reverend Judy Jett

We are all God’s creations and the
sorrow and loss of ones beloved
family pet, large or small, can be
heart wrenching.

Grieving requires enormous energy,
but pretending that you’re not
grieving requires even more.   You
may feel that no one understands
your emotions after the passing of
your special friend.  Well, I do.

In times of grief, prayer and ritual
can bring a sense of balance and
peace.  They give us an opportunity
to say good-bye, to express our pain,
to adjust to transition, to remember
our beloved friend and to place those
‘remembrances’ in the context of the
present.

Commemorate the life and honor the
memory of the one who brought you
unconditional love and adoration in
whatever setting, be it a formal pet
cemetery plot, family backyard or
ceremonial urn.  I will be there to
give thanks for time spent together,
recall good memories, help hold on to
certain feelings and to let others go.

Clo sure is important to the grieving
and the healing process.

“Whom we love and lose is no longer
where they were before.  They are now
wherever we are.”
